Gangsta Wrap

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can apply scissors to curling ribbon and wind up with curly ribbon, and those who, try as they might, can only make the ribbon more straight. (I fall into the latter category.)

Entering "wrap presents" into craigslist seems like a fine idea about now. Or perhaps just buying plenty of Podsafe For Peace's "If Every Day Were Christmas" as stocking/inbox stuffers.

Nicicles

This holiday season Saturday has featured:

  1. The rarely heard exhortation (from my yoga instructor; only yoga instructors say this) to "Take all the time you need."

  2. Several long, luxurious minutes taking in the shading and contours of my sleeping child's face.

Enough of those and even wrapping becomes bearable.

Looking Forward To More Of This

Triangulation with Leo Laporte and John C. Dvorak. Episode 1 is with Professor Lessig and the group discusses Google Print. (I haven't listened yet but I assume the focus is on the Library Project?)

Infernal Things

Don't miss this week's Blawg Review, courtesy of Colin "Dante" Samuels. Or Evan Schaeffer's current podcast. Both are sure to entertain and inspire awe.

American Lit

For anyone who enjoyed my photos of the construction of Fashion Island's Christmas tree, Travis Kiger has a great shot of the fully assembled product.
